3-month-old Baby Died after a Minor Uncle Poured Boiling Water

An innocent 3-month-old baby died after allegedly being poured with boiling water by a minor uncle in Cainta, Rizal.

According to Cainta Police, a three-month-old baby died when his 18-year-old teenage uncle splashed him with boiling water. According to authorities, the suspect admitted to using illegal narcotics prior to the crime.

The baby died instantly as a result of severe burns from head to toe. Cainta Police Chief Police Major Alfonso Saligumba revealed that the baby’s mother travels to work, thus she leaves it under the surveillance of the uncle.

“Nagpakulo ng tubig. Ang intensyon niya raw [suspek]ay paliguan ng maligamgam ang bata. Unfortunately, nagdilim ang kanyang paningin, naibuhos niya sa bata ‘yung kumukulong tubig na ‘yun,” said Saligumba.

According to reports, the neighbors only found out what had occurred when the culprit fled without even handing over the baby. According to the police report, the neighbor was perplexed as to why the infant had not been delivered to them.

So they went to the victim’s house and discovered that the infant was not moving or breathing, according to Saligumba. Following the crime, CCTV showed the suspect leaving with the victim’s brother.

The child suspect is said to have wandered from place to place before being tracked down to his parent’s home in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The suspect is currently being held by Cainta Police on a murder accusation.

“Base on the background, isa pong adik. Sabi niya sa akin, nakagamit siya ng time na ‘yon,” Saligumba concluded.
