Rica Peralejo has this gift idea for mothers
Celebrity mom Rica Peralejo shared what she thinks is the best gift for Mother’s Day this May 14.
Rica is a mother of two and she really enjoys her life behind the camera. She set aside her acting career for many years to focus on her family. Despite taking a break from showbiz, Rica is still acting on social media. She even launched her own YouTube channel and shared different topics in her vlogs.
In a recent endorsement project, based on the article in PUSH, Rica shared that she loves to go on camping. Even before she became a mom, she was already doing this kind of activity.
The celebrity mom also introduced this activity to her family. She shared that camping can teach kids a lot of lessons. “Ang hirap i-train ang resilience, ang grit sa kanila, kung walang challenge. Pero ang problema yung buhay natin ngayon walang challenge. So pag pumupunta ka outdoors, yan yung mahaharap mo,” she said.
Through camping, Rica Peralejo stressed that kids know what is like without electricity and how to deal with certain situations like if it’s raining and there are a lot of insects.
“This is an environment that tells you that you can’t control it. And I think that’s very humbling not only for a child but also for parents,” she added.
Since Mother’s Day is just around the corner, Rica Peralejo also shared what gift a mother like her would want to receive.
She said that a whole day for a mom to do what she wants would be a nice gift. “Dapat si mommy yung pipili ng activity niya. Hindi yung parang bibigyan niyo siya ng gagawin,” the celebrity mom said.
Rica said that mothers should be asked what they want because oftentimes it is the mothers who asked their children what they want.
“Maybe that’s one thing you can do for your mom or for your wives na mommies na rin. You can ask them, ‘What would you like to do on this day? Would you like to spend it with us or would you like to spend it with your friends?’ And don’t be offended if she picks her friends. That’s like one day in a year lang (laughs) so that would be it. I think that’s the best,” she explained.
The celebrity mom also stressed that when it comes to stuff, anything that a mom likes would be much appreciated as a gift from her loved ones.
