We don’t blame actress Ina Raymundo for always raving about her children in her Instagram posts—her kids are a talented bunch!! Erika Rae, a gifted singer, and performer who is currently enrolled in the Berklee College of Music, one of the most renowned music schools in the United States, is one of her five children that we are most familiar with.

Then there’s Jakob Poturnak, Ina’s only son, who also made news when he was accepted to play collegiate baseball in the United States. Ina used the hashtag #myonlysonshine every time she would write about him and his accomplishments because he was the only male in the family and his mother gave him the sweet moniker “sonshine.”

Jakob Poturnak is now attending college in the United States, just like his sister. For Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, he will play D1 baseball. In case you didn’t know, Division I is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics that the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States recognizes. Jakob mentioned his desire to get selected in the future by a major league baseball team.

The 47-year-old singer-actress was a picture of a happy mother as her son arrived home after spending some time in the US.

Ina Raymundo posted a photo of herself with Jacob Poturnak on Instagram, referring to him as her “sonshine.” She could not believe that her son is now a grown-up man.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Welcome back @jakobpoturnak! Didn’t see my son for five months. I’m shookt at how much he’s grown. So happy to finally be with my only sonshine.”
