Coco Martin Speaks Out About the Sales of Quiapo Vendors Due to His Show
Actor-director Coco Martin speaks out on the complaints of Quiapo vendors about losing their sales due to his show.
Finally, Coco Martin addressed the subject of retailers in Quiapo losing sales as a result of the filming of their show “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” Rendon Labador, a social media influencer, has stated that sellers are losing money as a result of the shooting.
Coco claimed that it was unlikely because Quiapo appears to be becoming a tourist magnet as a result of their series. According to the actor-director, they appear to be assisting other businesses because people come when they go to shoot locations.
“Pupunta tayo sa isang restaurant. Pupunta tayo dun sa isang park or whatever kung saan ma yung location, which is ganun din ang nangyayari sa Pilipinas,” said Coco in the interview.
“Ganun din ang nangyayari sa Batang Quiapo. Pero hindi natin maiaalis kasi ngayon na because of the social media, na napakadaling gumawa ngayon ng opinyon ng isang bagay na kaya mong pagandahin o sirain,” he added.
Even with their talent and crew, they are claimed to be becoming consumers at Quiapo stores, and more people are coming to see them in the shooting. Coco is well-known for displaying a wide range of talents in his series.
The actor-director used established stars, returning actors, and even entertainment newcomers in his series Ang Probinsyano. He’s doing the same approach with his latest TV project, the action series Batang Quiapo, which stars Lovi Poe. This time, he included vloggers and social media personalities in the cast.
