Is it true that Maine Mendoza will no longer be part of Eat Bulaga?
Rumor has it that Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza will leave the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga after her and actor-politician Arjo Atayde’s wedding.
Reports circulated that Maine and Arjo will tie the knot this year. They got engaged in 2022. The couple chooses not to divulge major details of their special day and even their friends and loved ones are mum.
The wedding preparations are taking place but Maine and Arjo continue to do their showbiz engagements.
Aside from Arjo’s acting projects, he is also doing his responsibilities as Quezon City’s 1st district representative. Maine continues doing her hosting stint in the Kapuso noontime.
In a recent article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, she shared that a source revealed that Maine Mendoza will totally leave Eat Bulaga after getting married to Arjo Atayde.
The writer also said that this is not just a simple conflict but it has something to do with politics. “Kung saang aspeto, bawal daw i-expose,” Asis wrote in her article published on May 3, 2023.
The showbiz columnist commented that even though Maine will no longer work, Arjo can provide for her because his family is wealthy, and the actress-host also has her own business.
Asis added that it looks like Maine Mendoza will do a good job of being active in Arjo Atayde’s programs and projects as a congressman. As of this writing, the Phenomenal Star has no statement yet about this rumor.
Meanwhile, it was previously rumored that the new management of TAPE Inc., the producer of Eat Bulaga, wanted to remove Maine as one of the hosts. It was alleged that Romy Jalosjos wanted his daughter to take Maine’s place in the show.
