Ellen Adarna Clarifies Derek Ramsay Will Not Adopt Her & John Lloyd Cruz’s son, Elias Modesto
ELLEN ADARNA – Cebuana actress Ellen Adarna said her husband Derek Ramsay will not adopt her and John Lloyd Cruz’s son, Elias Modesto.
Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna’s relationship is one of the most controversial celebrity hookups at the time. They sparked news stories and garnered various responses from people. The engagement that resulted in marriage happened rather quickly. The celebrity couple are evidently having the time of their life now.
Derek and Ellen both have sons from prior relationships. The actor has a 19-year-old son named Austin from a former marriage, while the actress has a 4-year-old son named Elias Modesto from her previous relationship with actor John Lloyd Cruz. The little boy is turning three years old this coming June 27.
Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay clearly get along well with each other’s son. The couple frequently travels together, and they occasionally take Elias with them on international trips.
Most single mothers who get married let their husbands adopt their child or children from their previous relationship. Just recently, the 35-year-old celebrity was asked if Derek will adopt her and John Lloyd’s son.
“Of course not, John Lloyd (Cruz) is present, so, hindi,” she said.
Ellen Adarna said John Lloyd Cruz is a devoted father to his son Elias and he does not lack in terms of support so there is no reason to change his surname Cruz. She also shared that John Lloyd does not only have visitation rights with their son.
“He gets Elias (and) spent time with the Cruz family. He gets schedule and (have) twelve days a month and ‘yun na ‘yun,” Ellen said.
The Cebuana actress shared that when she and JLC broke up, her family advised her that, “your son also needs his father as much as he needs you. So, ganu’n lang.”
So no matter how close Derek and Elias are based on the pictures posted by Ellen, especially when they are abroad, the former knows that he is the daddy and John Lloyd is the child’s father.
