Rita Avila Admitted She Prefers Real “Sampalan” During Intense Scenes
Veteran actress Rita Avila admitted that she prefers real “sampalan” during intense scenes than faking it.
During an interview, the seasoned actress discussed how she does the hurting or slapping moments with Roxie in “Hearts On Ice.” Rita’s character had a significant influence on viewers due to her talent as the antagonist in the Kapuso series.
That’s why audiences despise her every night as Yvanna, Monique’s (Roxie Smith) aggressive and stubborn mother. She is willing to go to any length to help her daughter become a figure skating champion.
“Yung eksena namin ni Monique, marami ang naawa ‘di ba noong pinagsasampal ko siya. Since Roxie is a pro, hiniling niya talaga sa akin na totohanin ko para raw maramdaman niya,” she said, based on the article of Bandera.
“Kasi minsan talaga kapag fake ang hirap mag-react e’ ng totoo, so it helps kung totoo. Pero mayroon ding instances na kung kakayanin naman talagang may medyo kaunting daya, gagawin din naman kasi ang hirap baka naman mabugbog na ‘yung mukha ng bata,” Rita added.
According to the experienced actress, audiences can expect a lot from their series, which stars Xian Lim and Ashley Ortega. She claims she will have another argument with veteran actress Amy Austria, who plays Ashley’s mother.
“Mas marami kaming away ni Amy Austria. Feeling ko naman mag-e-enjoy ‘yung manonood kasi siyempre may Team Libay ‘di ba pero walang Team Yvanna,” said Rita.
