Carla Abellana talked about her short but memorable stint in ‘Voltes V: Legacy’
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana said that Voltes V: Legacy took a higher notch when it comes to TV series in the Philippines.
Carla is one of the cast members of the Pinoy adaption of the iconic Japanese anime. The said Kapuso series is set to premiere in May and Carla portrays the character of Mary Ann Armstrong.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the Kapuso actress said that Voltes V: Legacy is “Ibang level.”
In this series, Carla Abellana had to do some action scenes. She said that it was not that difficult for her to do action scenes because she has already done stuff like this before. “Hindi naman po first time ng may action scenes, pero, siyempre ibang level po yung dito,” she said.
She also shared that the viewers can expect to see big explosions. They shot at a huge venue. A lot of equipment, materials, and props were used for this production.
“So mas malaki, bigger movement, bigger action, mga ganun. So iyon lang naman po yung kaibahan,” Carla said. She also said that they had the needed support and training for the action scenes. They also have stunt directors and stunt double while shooting. The effects team also helped a lot and even the make-up artists.
Even though her stint for this project with a big production is just short, Carla Abellana said that she did not feel sad. She said that fans of Voltes V know that her character will be there until the end of the story but this is more than enough for her.
The actress also said that when she was filming, she did not feel that it was too short. She was able to be part of the production for almost a year.
