Alden Richards and Julia Montes to star in their first movie together
Kapuso star Alden Richards and Kapamilya star Julia Montes revealed the reason behind their decision to accept the Five Break-ups And A Romance movie offer.
This is Alden’s second time being paired with an actress from the Kapamilya network. In 2019, he did the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye with Kathryn Bernardo and it was a massive hit.
It was announced just recently that Alden will be paired with another Kapamilya actress for a movie that will be directed by Irene Villamor.
In a recent press conference, based on the article in PEP, Alden Richards and Julia Montes revealed what pushed them to say yes to this project.
The actress said that although she has already done roles of a wife or girlfriend and a mother in her past projects, her role in this upcoming movie is very different from what she has done before.
This is challenging for her and somehow this has pushed her to be aware of what to do in order to portray her character well. “And nae-excite ako every time kung ano yung mangyayari for that specific moment. Kasi talagang… clueless ako,” she said.
She added that everything for her is new and this is something that makes her excited. Julia said that she feels like she is taking a journey with her character Justine. “And proud ako sa project na ‘to!” the actress said
She also said that the project is right for her. Julia shared that usually if there is something being offered to her, she will take a moment first and ponder over what has been presented to her.
“Pero ito, parang may feeling ako na hindi, eto yun. May ganun ako! Naniniwala talaga ako sa project. And with this team-up, sobrang tama na nag-yes ako!” the Kapamilya star said.
For Alden Richards’s part, he is excited to do the scenes that he has not done in his past projects. The fact that he is not doing a “safe role” added to his excitement. “Kasi yung being not safe does not necessarily mean nag-o-all out. Being not safe anymore means break out of the usual. More open,” he said.
The Kapuso actor is also excited because his production company Myriad is co-producing this film.
