DSWD Clarifies Post About “Irregularities” in Cash Aid Distribution is Fake
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) debunked the viral post about alleged “irregularities” in cash aid distribution and claimed it is fake.
The DSWD released a statement against the Twitter user who exposed suspected “irregularities” in financial assistance distribution in Baliuag, Bulacan. According to the post, there is an anomaly in aid distribution under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.
The DSWD refuted the accusation in a Facebook post on Friday, calling it “fake news.” According to their Facebook post, the agency claims that there is no truth, based on their investigation.
According to the department, the Twitter user who posted the alleged bogus news has since apologized. The DSWD further cautioned the public not to put too much faith in what they read on the internet and to only obtain reliable information from our official social media accounts.
