Jake Zyrus stressed that Charice Pempengco is already gone
Singer Jake Zyrus slammed those people who are comparing other singers to Charice Pempengco.
Before becoming Jake, the transman singer was known as the biritera singer Charice. Her voice amazed a lot of music fans and she received recognition from international artists like David Foster.
However, the singer is now living as Jake and it irritates him if people kept on asking him to revive or return to his old self/voice.
Based on the article in PEP, during a recent online gaming session, Jake Zyrus stressed that Charice Pempengco could no longer be revived.
“Anong gusto ninyong mangyari? Bubuhayin si Charice? Paano? Scientifically, wala, e. It’s impossible because I’m already taking, like, hormones because that’s who I am,” he said. The singer also said that it is such a stupid question when would ask him if he could bring back the voice of Charice.
He also said that fans of Charice can listen to her song during their own time. Then, he addressed those who are comparing Charice to other singers. Although Jake did not mention any name, it is known to many showbiz fans that during David Foster’s concert in March at The Theatre ng Solaire Resort & Casino, netizens expressed that Morisette Amon could never beat Charice Pempengco’s singing prowess.
Jake Zyrus said that this was a form of disrespect not only to him but to other singers as well being compared to Charice.
“And to actually compare the old me to some of the greatest singers out there, hindi lang disrespectful sa akin yon! Disrespectful din sa kanila yon!” he said. The singer also stressed that these people are literally comparing other singers to someone who does not exist anymore.
