Ara Mina Reacts on Sister Christine Reyes’ Statement Over Rumored Rift
Veteran actress Ara Mina finally speaks out on the rumored rift between her sister Christine Reyes and her family.
Ara Mina finally addressed her supposed feud with her sister Christine Reyes in an interview with Marites University. Ara stated that she was saddened by what her sister said.
“Kilala ko na kasi ‘yung kapatid ko, kumbaga sanay na ako, But I think parang na-hurt ako ng a little bit pero hindi pinansin kasi alam ko naman ang ano ugali ng kapatid ko,” she shared.
“Na-bring up niya lang siguro and you know may mga kanya kanya rin naman tayong hindi nasasabi sa pamilya pero masasabi mo sa public,” she added.
She did, however, clarify that her connection with her sister was fine. She was concerned, though, that Christine’s allegation would reach their mother.
“Actually mas concern kami kay mommy ko kaysa sa mga pinsan, kapatid kasi kaming magkakapatid sanay na kami, kaya na namin i-handle si mommy,” she stated.
Fortunately, they convinced their mother to disregard her sister’s statement. Ara then disclosed that her mother has a number of issues that may be contributing to her attitude. Christine, she thought, only wanted to be looked after.
“Kaya feeling mo hindi ka naalagaan kasi stress ‘yung mommy mo, iba iba kasi yung personality natin and how will you take it, eh siya [Christine] dala dala parin niya hanggang ngayon,” she said during the interview.
Christine’s remark from 2021 went viral after she acknowledged that she was unhappy living with her biological mother. She stated that she hasn’t felt like she has a voice since moving home with her biological mother.
“I was very neglected when I was a child, at six years old. I remember whenever there’s a problem, I would constantly hear words, ‘You never should have been born,” she said.
