Woman Arrested for Child Abuse and Being Most Wanted in Las Piñas
Police authorities arrested a top 9 most wanted woman after being charged with a child abuse case in Las Piñas.
A joint operation of Las Pias Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Intelligence Section (IS) nabbed the city’s most sought lady. Jasmine Kyle Galit, 19, was named as the suspect by police.
According to the report provided by city police head, Col. Jaime Santos, the suspect was arrested in the Southern Police District (SPD) for breaking the anti-child abuse law. She was dubbed the Las Piñas’ seventh most sought person.
Galit was apprehended at approximately 11:15 a.m. in Emmaus Village, Moonwalk, Barangay Talon 5, Las Pias City. According to Santos, WSS, and IS operatives served Galit with an arrest warrant for breaking the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, also known as the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
The arrest warrant was issued on March 17 by Judge Nerina Anastacio-Mendinueto of the Las Pias Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 199 with a proposed bail of P160,000. Galit is presently being held at a police detention center.
