Syrian National Nabbed with P32-M Worth of Illegal Drugs in Manila

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel arrested a Syrian national after being caught with P32 million worth of illegal drugs.

The NBI-Task Force Against Illegal substances (TFAID) seized illegal substances worth roughly P32 million and arrested the Syrian national as a result of the search warrant. Alaadin Qwiader, also known as Alaa L. Qweider, was identified as the suspect.

The NBI got preliminary information that one MHD was selling illegal narcotics such as cocaine, high-quality marijuana or kush, and ecstasy. According to the investigation, the suspect primarily supplied illegal substances in the National Capital Region and at his Makati City bar.

8,681 grams of high-grade marijuana or kush, 511.5339 grams of cocaine, and 4,512 pills of various shapes and colors of suspected ecstasy were recovered during the operation. A 9MM pistol, magazine, and 50 rounds of ammo were also found, based on the report.

Moreover, the result of a drug test conducted on the suspect revealed that he tested positive for cocaine use. The foreigner will be charged at Mandaluyong City’s City Prosecutor’s Office for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
