Maricar Reyes has this inspiring post about controlling one’s emotions
Actress Maricar Reyes shared the vital lesson she learned from her “mentor”, he husband singer Richard Poon.
Maricar has inspired people, especially her fellow women who went through a difficult time like what she had in the past due to a controversy. She released a book narrating her process of healing and moving on from that dark past.
Through her social media posts, the actress would once in a while share comment that she gets from those who have read her book.
The recent one she shared was from a netizen who said that the expectation before reading the book was far different from the experience after reading it. “It wasn’t heavy at all but full of wisdom and lessons,” the netizen, who had prior thought that the book will be full of drama, commented.
“DRAMA DOESN’T SOLVE ANYTHING,” Maricar Reyes wrote in the caption of her post. She shared that she learned this from her husband.
“Sabi ng isa sa mga pinaka-magaling kong mentor na itago natin sa pangalang @richardpoonph (yes i learn a lot from him),” the actress wrote. Maricar said that this is true because before, she would vent out her emotions to her friends.
It gave her a feeling of relief when she would vent out and receive sympathy from her friends but this is just temporary. The same emotion will return and the thing will happen.
Eventually, she was able to know how to control her emotions, face her problems, and find solutions. By doing this, she realized that she has less and less to vent about.
Maricar Reyes also thanked those who edited her book in order to make it not so “madrama.” “Until today I still get corrected & I’m working on a lot of things… But life is definitely better than it was over 10 years ago. I hope my story will help do this for anyone who is struggling too,” the actress added.
