Wilbert Ross narrated his bad experiences working in the Kapamilya noontime show
Former Hashtags member Wilbert Ross accused an It’s Showtime boss of power-tripping because he was the least favorite.
Hashtags was an all-male group that originated in the Kapamilya noontime show. From doing dance performances in the show, the group was able to do other showbiz stints. Other members also had their individual projects.
Being part of this group opened a lot of opportunities for Hashtags, however, it was not a healthy work environment for Wilbert when he was in the show.
Based on the article in PEP, during a recent interview, Wilbert Ross claimed that a boss in It’s Showtime did not treat him well. His mental health was compensated because of this experience. He also shared that it went to the point that he would hurt himself just to feel the pain in order to suppress the thoughts in his mind.
“Sa Hashtags po, sixteen members kami. Ang feeling ko, ako yung pinaka-least. Sa It’s Showtime po, may [isang] tao na ayaw sa akin talaga. Isa sa mga boss,” Wilbert said.
He said that he has a friend who is one of the staff members of the show. That friend told him that he was supposed to be in a segment but when the boss learned about it, he was not included.
“Tapos, umabot na rin na pati sa segment ko, like may mga segment sa Minute To Win It, two hours na lang bago ang taping, pinapalitan po ako ng ibang Hashtag,” the actor added.
Wilbert said that it was his fellow Hashtags member Nikko Natividad who told him about this because they are friends. He also said that he would get comments that he does not deserve to be a part of the Hashtags because he is the least attractive.
The actor said that until now he had trauma from that experience. “Ganoon po talaga yung nararamdaman ko na power tripping. Ang pangit kasi parang wala akong chance. Sila nagkaka-project ng isa-isa, tapos ako, wala talagang project,” Wilbert Ross said.
