Kiray Celis Reveals She’s Not In Favor Of Live-in Set Up
KIRAY CELIS – Kapuso actress Kiray Celis revealed she is not in favor of a live-in set up before marriage.
Before moving to the GMA-7 network, actress Johanna Ismael Celis, better known on stage as Kiray, began her career as an ABS-CBN actress. She rose to fame after participating in the Kapamilya sketch comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit.”
The 27-year-old actress is currently dating gamer Stephan Estopia. Last year, she received an Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max from her boyfriend and parents. Kiray and Stephan celebrated their 3rd anniversary in Thailand this January 2023.
Just recently, Kiray Celis revealed that she’s not in favor of a ‘live-in set-up’ before getting married. She said this when she guested on Paolo Contis’ online show ‘Just In’ on March 15.
“Kailangan kasal muna bago ang lahat,” she said.

According to Kiray Celis, many people thought that she and her boyfriend had a live-in setup. She said, “Ang daming nagsasabi na akala live-in kami ng jowa ko, kasi noong pandemic every day siya nasa bahay namin. So paano nangyari e lockdown nga. Kabilang kanto lang siya ng bahay namin. Same barangay kami, kaya noong close yung barangay namin, magkabarangay kami, so nakakapunta siya sa bahay namin.”
The Kapuso star even admitted that her brother and Stephan are best friends. “Kasi best friend nga siya ng kapatid ko, kapitbahay lang talaga namin siya,” she said.
When it comes to starting a family, Kiray Celis admits that she is not ready for it yet. “Hindi pa yan yung priority ko at saka may takot kasi ako. Ayoko na hindi ako ready ‘pag nangyari ‘yun,” she said.
Kiray knows having a child is a blessing but she is not yet ready for the role of parenthood. Another thing that the comedian clarified is that Stephan understands her decision.
“Maintindihin naman ‘yung boyfriend ko. Hindi naman niya ako kinukulit sa mga ganoong pagkakataon. Siguro, naka-quota na siya sa mga dating pinagdaanan niya sa buhay,” said Kiray.
