Police in NAIA Arrested after He allegedly Gropes Beauty Queen Ahtisa Manalo
Authorities arrested police assigned to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after he allegedly gropes beauty queen Ahtisa Manalo.
After a beauty queen filed a complaint against him for allegedly molesting her, a police officer was posted to the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group (PNP-ASG). Patrolman Alvin Bonales was identified as the officer.
According to the report, Ms. Maria Ahtisa Manalo arrived at NAIA-Terminal 3 on Friday, March 10, from Boracay. However, the 25-year-old beauty queen stated that while they were waiting for their service vehicle, she felt someone touch her buttocks.
The victim promptly requested assistance from the PNP-ASG. As a result, airport general manager Cesar Chiong quickly requested a check of the CCTV tape, which revealed that Bonales was responsible. PNP-ASG chief Col. Rhoderick Campo immediately ordered Bonales’ arrest.
According to the report, the officer is now in the custody of the PNP-ASG. A complaint was brought against him for violating Republic Act 11313, often known as the Safe Places Act (Bawal Bastos Law). Bonales is also facing an administrative case as a result of the event.
Manalo will be known for finishing first runner-up in Miss International in 2018. She has competed in a number of pageants, including Binibining Pilipinas, the Reyna ng Aliwan festival, and Miss International Philippines.
