Dimples Romana is happy about her 26 years in the entertainment industry
Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana shared her thoughts on “pasaway” personalities in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Dimples is celebrating her 26th year in showbiz this March. Throughout the years, she has already done a lot of remarkable projects under her home network for more than two decades.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, the actress said that she had sacrifices before reaching 26 years.
She said that the biggest sacrifice she made was being away from her family most of the time. However, Dimples Romana is thankful for the support that her husband has been giving to her all these years.
In taking care of their kids, they take turns because they have no nanny, they only have house angels. When she is home, she is the one in charge of taking care of their baby Elio.
When asked if she had regrets in her showbiz career, Dimples said that she does not have. “Hindi kasi ako naniniwala sa regret. Parang nasasayangan ako sa oras at effort! At saka hindi nakaka-pretty yung regret,” the actress said.
She also said that she would just cry about it for a day or an hour and then, she would move on from that. It is because she knows that she can do nothing anymore to whatever happened.
“At saka I feel like… I guess I never learned really how to compare myself to other people. Parang wala talaga akong inggit sa katawan,” Dimples added. She was also asked about the fact that there was no instance when people ever called her “pasaway.”
Dimples is one of the actresses in the Philippines with a good image. “Parang mas sa asawa ko pa ako naging pasaway! Parang siya dapat ang tanungin nyo!” she quipped.
Then, the actress said that people should not be judgmental of celebrities who once tagged “pasaway.” It is because, in her personal experience, some “pasaway” celebrities have learned their lessons and eventually changed for the better.
“So I think we just have to be less judgmental of people just because you met them at the phase in their lives na ganito yung ugali nila. It doesn’t mean they will always be like that. So I guess ipagdasal na lang natin na sooner ay magbago sila for the better,” Dimples Romana shared.
