Bianca Umali was part of a love team and here’s what she had to say about that phase of her career
Kapuso actress Bianca Umali shared her thoughts on being in a love team before with actor Miguel Tanfelix.
Bianca is one of the actresses in Philippine showbiz who had a phase in their careers in which they had to be in a love team. Some love teams work while some are short-lived. It has been a tradition in the entertainment industry in the country that fans are rooting for their favorite pair.
Being in a love team has its pros and cons. Bianca was previously part of the BiGuel love team. In a recent guesting on Paolo Contis’s Just In show, the actress was asked if she got worried when her love team with Miguel was discontinued.
“Not at all,” Bianca Umali directly answered. She explained that when it comes to the personal level, she wanted to stay away from the issues and stress that were brought out by the said phase of her career and it was not beneficial for her anymore.
Talking about the professional side of not being in a love team, the actress said that it widened her horizon.
“It was somehow I think a relief at some point kasi ‘pag nasa loveteam ka mahirap mag-establish ng individual careers and it goes for both parties. But for me at least, ‘pag loveteam, like you’ve mentioned earlier, lalaki nga mostly (ang umaangat),” Bianca stressed.
Being a solo artist made Bianca explore more as an actress and she was able to prove that she deserves a spot in showbiz. She is elated that she has proven that she can soar also even though she is not in a love team.
“Ang sarap kasi doon ko naipakita na I can stand alone and it feels so great kasi mas nama-maximize ko ‘yung love ko for my craft ng sarili ko lang yung iniintindi ko at sarili ko lang ‘yung kilala ng mga tao hindi ‘yung nakakabit sa isa pang pangalan,” Bianca Umali said.
