Polo Used by Francis M During “Bagsakan” MV to Be Auction for Gab Chee Kee
Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Mirando to auction polo used by Francis M during their “Bagsakan” music video for Gab Chee Kee.
PNE’s singer said on Instagram that the school polo will be auctioned off to help pay for the medical expenditures of the band’s guitarist, Gab Chee Kee. The polo was featured in the classic rap song by him, Parokya Ni Edgar, and Gloc-9.
Chito Miranda recounted on Instagram how he messaged one of the late Master Rapper’s daughters, Saab Magalona. They didn’t expect to uncover the third polo from the video, according to Parokya’s vocalist. Saab sent the polo photo a few days later.
“Nagbakasakali ako, at nag-message ako kay Saab Magalona,” he said. “[And] pumayag si Ma’am Pia ipa-auction yung polo ni Sir Kiko for Gab!!!” Chito wrote in his post excitedly, referring to Pia Magalona, Francis M.’s widow and Saab’s mom.
Parokya previously auctioned off the polo Chito Miranda wore in the video. It was sold for P150,000.00. Chito disclosed Gab was hospitalized in January due to pneumonia, a condition caused by his lymphoma.
Friends in the business have contributed to their fundraising efforts, including the sale of an Eraserheads-signed guitar for P1.3 million. On March 4, there will also be a fundraiser concert called Resbak Para Kay Gab, which will feature top OPM artists.
Gab was recently transferred to a regular room after weeks in critical care and progressive care, where he played the guitar as medical professionals wheeled him.
