Rendon Labador on Coco Martin’s “Batang Quiapo”: “Storbo! Itigil mo na”

Rendon Labador Reacts to the Shooting of Coco Martin’s “Batang Quiapo”

Online personality Rendon Labador expresses reactions to the shooting of “Batang Quiapo” after vendors complained to Coco Martin.

The series ‘FPJ Batang Quiapo,’ directed by actor-director Coco Martin, has been a hit since its launch on February 6. Every night, it is one of the most anticipated television shows.

The series was a tribute to the late Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), a legendary Filipino actor and filmmaker known for his roles as tough and heroic characters, many of whom were associated with the term “Batang Quiapo.” Coco Martin portrayed Gabriel, a young Quiapo man who becomes embroiled in various conflicts and struggles in his community.

Meanwhile, vendors in the vicinity expressed their displeasure with the shooting of the aforementioned series due to loss of income. Numerous vendors expressed their discontent with the event’s disturbance to their operations.

A store owner stated that sales had plummeted since a portion of Quiapo had to be closed down for the production team to film their programs. Rendon Labador, who is known for his strong opinions on a range of matters, appealed with the show’s production team to leave Quiapo so the shopkeepers could resume their normal operations.

“Sa totoo lang storbo ka! Itigil mo na yan. Dapat ang title niyan “Storbo Sa Quiapo” Labador said.

“Kung wala kayong budget para mag tayo ng sariling studio, itigil niyo na yang kalokohan na yan. Storbo lang kayo sa mga naghahanap buhay diyan sa Quiapo. Itigil niyo na yan,” he added in his post.
