Man Stabbed to Death By Friend After Attempting to Sing in Negros Oriental
NEGROS ORIENTAL – A man who allegedly wanted to sing died on the spot after being stabbed by his friend.
A man was unable to sing after getting stabbed by a friend during a drinking session in the town of Ayungon. The victim has been identified as Oliver Deguitos, a resident of Barangay Tampokon I, Ayungon, Negros Oriental.
Meanwhile, officials are looking for his suspect buddy Jorgie Redula, who lives in the same neighborhood. According to the Ayungin Municipal Police Station, the crime occurred at about 5:00 PM in Sitio Sacsac, Barangay Tampokon 1.
According to the police investigation, the group had had enough alcohol to imagine the victim standing up and heading to the videoke to press a number to sing. The victim was busy pressing a number on the videoke machine for his chosen music.
The suspect, however, pursued him and stabbed him in the back with a 12-inch knife. According to the report, the suspect fled the scene of the incident in an unknown direction.
The man was rushed to the hospital, but the doctor on duty pronounced him dead. The police investigation is still ongoing in order to determine the true purpose for the murder, and the culprit will be held accountable quickly.
