Dimples Romana has done an action scene in her current Kapamilya primetime series
Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana revealed that her best friend and fellow actress Angel Locsin was her inspiration in doing her action scene in the primetime series The Iron Heart.
Previously, Dimples shared how challenging it was for her to do the said action scene. She is known as a drama actress and her past projects showcased her caliber in this genre. In Iron Heart, she had to do an action in which she was wearing heels and that was more challenging for her.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Dimples Romana revealed that she was just supposed to be a guest in Richard Gutierrez’s TV series. Aside from her busy schedule in shooting for her endorsement projects, Dimples had to take care of her kids as well, especially her eight-month-old son Alonzo.
The Kapamilya series is mainly filmed in Cebu and this is one of the aspects that would it difficult for a celebrity mom like Dimples. However, the supposed guesting only became a regular casting. It is because of her viral action scene and she attributed this to Angel Locsin.
“Bilang bestfriend natin si Gel, ang yabang ko, sabi ko nakapanood ako nito. Sabi ko baka kaya ko. I would watch Gel do all her stunts and she did almost everything. So nai-inspire ako. Mahusay siya,” Dimples Romana said.
She added that she was a bit confident that she absorbed something from Angel’s action scenes in the past but she realized that what she absorbed was just “yabang at lakas ng loob.”
“Pero naitawid namin! Ang importante doon, when I watched it, beautiful editing as well. It was so nicely done na pagbalik ko ng Cebu, puro aksyon scene na pinapagawa sa akin,” she added.
Having this kind of project a few months after giving birth, Dimples said that it is empowering. When asked if she will cling to the action genre after that viral action scene, she said that even she is surprised by what she can still do and she will definitely follow this theme because it is always good to go out of her comfort zone.
