Rafa Tan Wows Coaches W/ Rendition Of His Mom Roselle Nava Hit Song “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita”
ROSELLE NAVA – 10-year-old Rafa Tan impressed the coaches with his rendition of his mom’s hit song “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita”.
Several of our favorite performers and musicians have passed on their skills to their offspring. The apple doesn’t always fall far from the celebrity tree in the entertainment world.
On many occasions, ability appears to be passed down from parent to child, and the younger generation can even outperform the elder. It’s always exciting to see the next generation of our favorite celebrity families grow up and find their way just like their parents.
Thus, when we get to watch two generations showing off their talent at the same time, it’s a rare treat —and celebrity kids like Rafa Tan following in his mom Roselle Nava’s footsteps give us the chance to see just that.
The son of the veteran singer recently joined Kapamilya’s reality singing television competition “The Voice Kids.” The panel for the upcoming show’s 5th season includes Martin Nievera, Bamboo Mañalac, and KZ Tandingan.

Rafa Tan became the newest member of Martin Nievera’s team on ‘The Voice Kids.’ The 10-year-old boy surprised the coaches with his performance of his mother’s hit song “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita” on the program.
Martin turned for Rafa, instantly adding him to his team. Nava took the stage after being summoned by the coaches. The two then performed the song together.
“Rafa, I think you’re a great singer, magaling ka mag-adjust, alam mo na may ginawa ka na hindi tama, you blamed no one else but yourself,” Martin told Tan.
