NBI Rescues 7 Freelance Models from Human Trafficking Suspect
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel rescued seven (7) freelance models from an alleged human trafficking suspect.
The culprit was apprehended by National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) agents. In addition to the arrest, officials freed the seven freelance models she was holding.
Diane Manarang was identified as the suspect by the NBI. According to the report, she allegedly assured such freelance models, including a kid, that if they just followed her directions, they would become famous.
Lito Magno
Magno noted that the cost ranged from P20,000 to P100,000, P200,000. The suspect, on the other hand, disputed the accusation. According to her defense, they are all event models, and everything is a ruse to make some people jealous of her.
Meanwhile, the NBI has the suspect’s cell phone, which will be used as evidence because it purportedly has a list of his customers. Because of our laws, if a juvenile is participating in trafficking, it is already considered human trafficking.
“Dahil sa batas natin pagmay menor na involved at nata-trafficking that is already qualified as human trafficking activity. Two different sections, papasok siya sa qualified human trafficking,” Magno said.
