Sanya Lopez has a new title role
Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez talked about her role in the upcoming series Mga Lihim ni Urduja in which she would be a warrior princess.
Previously, Sanya played the lead role in First Yaya and its sequel First Lady. Through these series, she became one of the sought-after leading ladies in the Kapuso network. Now, she is set to add a new entry to her title role list.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Sanya shared that she did not expect to be part of the upcoming Kapuso fantasy series. She already did a fantaserye before, the Encantadia in which she played the character of Danaya.
“Of course, I was excited with the people I would be working with. There’s Gabbi (Garcia), there’s Kylie (Padilla), there’s also Pancho (Magno), whom I worked with in Encantadia,” Sanya Lopez said.
This new project makes her nostalgic about their camaraderie in the past Kapuso series. Sanya also highlighted that this project is very important and this is a big opportunity for her. It is because Urduja is a legend and a one-of-a-kind female character. This is indeed a good role and it was easy for her to accept the offer.
One of the things that Sanya had to prepare for this role is having a fit body. As a warrior princess, she had to wear a certain costume with precious stones as embellishments. Doing Encantadia before, she also had to do some fighting scenes, so Sanya is not a newbie in this kind of training before the shoot.
During the interview, Sanya Lopez was also asked about being NBSB or “no boyfriend since birth.” The actress clarified that although this is true, there were still instances when she allowed guys to court her.
“Yes… but I’m not saying na hindi po ako nagpaligaw, yun para lang malinaw din sa mga nagtatanong sa akin. Nagpaligaw pero walang (official),” the actress shared.
