Netizens recalled these old tweets that Kapuso stars Julie Anne San Jose and Barbie Forteza shared mentioning “Rizal.”
Julie Anne portrays the character of Maria Clara in the Kapuso primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra while Barbie gives life to the character of millennial Klay. The said series has been receiving positive reviews and this also got high ratings.
Aside from the production and the story, MCAI is also being admired for having well-chosen cast members who did not fail to deliver what is needed for their characters.
Just recently, based on the article in Interaksyon, fans of the series noticed that Julie Anne San Jose and Barbie Forteza had tweeted in the past talking about Jose Rizal who wrote Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo on which MCAI’s story was based.
“Julie Anne San Jose Protacio Rizal. #sankapa,” the Asia’s Limitless Star wrote in her Twitter post on March 17, 2011. She joined her name with Rizal’s real name José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda.
Julie Anne also shared a tweet about Rizal on November 17, 2014. “Prof [Professor]: ‘San binaril si Rizal? Answer: Sa likod (laughing-with-tears emoji)” she wrote. “Ayan, ayan. Nag-manifest tuloy ‘yung kabaligtaran ng ‘sa likod’ kay MC,” a netizen commented referring to what happened to her character in the series.
Years ago, Barbie Forteza also shared a tweet mentioning Rizal. “Kahit pagpatay kay Rizal ako na rin may kasalanan?” – Nay Maruja! Hi Ate @whianwamos 🙂 smile lang!” the actress tweeted on November 27, 2013.
This received recent comments from netizens who are also MCAI fans. A fan of her onscreen tandem with David Licauco took notice that they both tweeted about Rizal in 2013.
“@davidlicauco oo nga year 2013 din topic nila si Jose Rizal. Meant to be ba ito? Fidel and klay,” a fan commented.
