Female Lawyer Receives Live Chicken from Manobo Tribe for Her Service in Cebu
A female lawyer in Cebu goes viral after receiving a live chicken from the Manobo tribe as payment for her service.
A TikTok video of a lawyer’s emotions about getting payment from her clients becomes viral. Atty. Isha Corbeta, a Bukidnon-based lawyer, posted a video of herself after receiving a live chicken from the province’s Manobo tribe.
The female lawyer in the video can be seen opening an orange bag and was shocked to discover a live chicken within. A Manobo tribe that used her legal consultation services donated the poultry stock.
As an exchange for her legal services, the indigenous tribe presents her with a live chicken. When she spotted the chicken, the lady was overjoyed and laughed.
Meanwhile, the video has gone popular on social media, eliciting a variety of responses from the online community. The video has spread positive emotions and wholesomeness among netizens who were amused by her reactions.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time a Filipino lawyer has been compensated with produce or live stock for their services to the less fortunate. Last year, a Sorsogon City lawyer named Atty Noel Allen Bose went viral for taking crabs from his client to pay for his legal services.
Farmers’ eggplant and peanut crops were also given to a human rights lawyer named Henrie Famorcan Enaje. Enaje is a human rights lawyer and one of the so-called “Tinang 83” lawyers. They are agricultural reform program beneficiaries and peasant advocates who were imprisoned for reportedly damaging tubó plants during “bungkalan,” or land cultivation, at Hacienda Tinang in Tarlac.
