Luis Manzano wants to remain a Kapamilya
Actor-host Luis Manzano received offers from other networks but he still chose his home network ABS-CBN and here is the reason behind his decision.
Luis has done a lot of projects already under the Kapamilya network. The fact that ABS-CBN has no existing franchise did not urge him to find opportunities in different networks.
Based on the article in PEP, the trait of being loyal was inherited by Luis from his mother, Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos who chose to air \ her 60th-anniversary special on ABS-CBN titled Anim Na Dekada, Nag-iisang Vilma even though the network has no franchise.
Vilma said that the Kapamilya network played a major part in her showbiz career. It was ABS-CBN who gave her the chance to have her first TV show and that was D’Sensations in 1971. “Nandito ang puso ko. Napakalaki rin ng utang na loob ko sa istasyong ito,” the veteran actress said.
Luis Manzano also has the same love for ABS-CBN. He chose to renew his contract with his home network despite the offers he received from other networks. He will do the 5th season of the Kapamilya show I Can See Your Voice.
Vilma revealed that her son received offers to do show in other networks. “He stood his ground. Sabi niya, ‘I’ll still stay sa ABS-CBN kasi yung loyalty ko, pag-aalaga nila sa akin for so many years…’ nararapat lang na gantihan niya ng utang na loob,” the veteran actress said.
Meanwhile, Luis Manzano was recently entangled in an investment controversy in Flex Fuel as he was the former chairman of the said company. However, the actor-host stressed that he is no longer affiliated with the company since last year.
