Kind Cop in Dapitan City Goes Viral for Giving Uplifting Words and Free Food to Youngsters
The online community praises the kind cop who gives uplifting words and free food to youngsters hanging out in Dapitan City.
A proud netizen named AdventuRenzz shared an uplifting story of a friendly police staff sergeant in Dapitan City on Facebook. The netizen uploaded images of the type of police officers seen at the well-known “landing location” of the aforementioned place.

According to the report, the cop was seen speaking to the children who were seated in the vicinity. The netizen assumed that the police were reprimanding the children who were loitering.
He did, however, speak to the youngsters and advised them to strive and study hard in order to attain their life goals. The generous cops even purchased food for the youngsters.
“Dumaan ako sa boulevard dito sa Dapitan o mas kilalang landing site sa lugar. Akala ko may kasalanan yung mga bata kaya parang pinagalitan sila ni sir, pero hindi pala. Kinausap pala ni sir yung mga bata na magsumikap at mag-aral nang mabuti para sa kanilang pangarap, at pinayuhan din nito na huwag na madalas magtambay doon,” the uploader explained in the Bisaya language.
According to the netizen, he was hesitant to photograph them since they were too far away, but his companion insisted on taking the photograph because it was encouraging. He noted that he hasn’t heard anything else from the police staff sergeant, but he believes he’s a decent cop in the area.
Some people who knew the cop noted that even when he was in college, he was polite and generous. Police Staff Sergeant Marvel Laurie of the Dapitan City Police Station was identified as the officer.
