John Lapus Reacts to Artists who Transfer Network Despite Pending Shows
TV host-comedian John Lapus expresses reactions to some artists who transfer to the other network despite pending shows.
John “Sweet” Lapus, a comedian-director-scriptwriter, posted a blind item on Twitter about some ungrateful artists. Sweet took a go at artists who are switching networks but still have a show on the previous channel.
Netizens have speculated on which artist would be affected by Lapus’ message. This tweet was inspired by a Twitter user’s comment that actors from the GMA Network shine more and improve their acting skills when they appear on ABS-CBN.
Former Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez, who is now on the Kapamilya network, illustrated this. Janine is always in the news because of the popular teleserye “Dirty Linen,” and her outstanding acting skills are on display.
Because Janine’s eyes alone, and even those of the entire cast, are already communicating, the name “mata-mata school of acting” has gained popularity. This sparked numerous disputes among Kapuso and Kapamilya fans. John responded to a tweet.
“Lumilipat lang naman pag nganga. Pero merong lumilipat na may pending show. Mga walang utang na loob,” Lapus wrote in his tweet.
John probed further, stating that if he is “stuck” or there is no file or project being worked on, he can switch to another channel. John is one of those talents who can work freely with any network, whether as an actor or as the director or writer of a sitcom or mini-series.
