Senators teased Chiz Escudero because of his “wonderful aura”
Senator Chiz Escudero is the subject of “biruan” during Senate Session 45 on February 1, and apparently, it is because of his “reconciliation” with his wife actress-fashion icon Heart Evangelista.
To recall, last year, rumors surfaced that Heart and Chiz’s marriage was on the rocks. The fact that Heart took down her Escudero surname on Instagram and has been spotted not wearing her engagement and wedding rings added fuel to the fire of speculations about their supposed breakup.
Different versions of the so-called reason for the rumored breakup circulated. It was alleged that the Senator was having an extramarital affair while Heart is accused of not fulfilling her duty as a wife as she is frequently away due to her engagements abroad.
Amid the issue, the couple remained silent. The breakup rumors stopped when they celebrated the New Year together and had a vacation in Japan after that. Just recently, they were together in Paris.
On Wednesday’s Senate Session, Chiz Escudero received teasing from his fellow Senators. Based on the article in PEP, it was started by Senator Grace Poe.
“Mr. President, together with each and every member of this body, I would like to warmly welcome our colleague and my seatmate, Senator Chiz. First time in a long time we’ve seen that smile on his face, with a wonderful aura. And I think if there’s anything we learn from this is love is worth fighting for,” Sen. Poe said.
Senate President Migz Zubiri continued the teasing by saying that the session was paused for a while because of that. “That’s the reason why we suspended the session because I want to go down and give a big hug to our dear friend and classmate in Congress, our idol. We believe in second chances,” he said.
Senator Joel Villanueva added, “And Mr. President, we Heart, Chiz.” Then, Senator Loren Legarda stood and expressed her support for what Sen. Poe has said about Sen. Escudero’s “aura.”
The Senate President ended the teasing directed at Sen. Chiz Escudero by saying, “We are all happy for you. Let’s put that on record. This whole session floor is happy for our dear colleague.”
