“Panlasang Pinoy” Vlogger Recounts Belongings Lost During Holiday Trip in Philippines

Food vlogger “Panlasang Pinoy” recounts the harrowing experience in the Philippines as his family loses personal belongings during their trip.

Among the items they lost, according to the food YouTuber, were branded bags, glasses, perfumes, and chocolates that were supposed to be gifts for their families. He stated that they flew to San Francisco in December and then took a connecting business class trip to the Philippines on Philippine Airlines (PAL).

Merano stated his family spent over 10 hours of waiting time in the airport just photographing the incident. He stated that they were aware of pilfered baggage events in airports and so secured “more important” goods in their hand-carry bags.

Despite their precautions, Vanjo and his family expressed regret over the belongings they had lost. He stated that airport personnel agreed to pay him for the lost stuff.

“Mahalaga rin naman kasi yung nandoon sa check-in [luggage] yung mga pang-regalo. Gusto lang namin magpasaya sa Pasko kaya ganoon talagang nag-effort kami [at] nag-ipon para makabili ng mga pang-regalo tapos ‘yun nawala,” he said.

The food vlogger stated that they were unable to point fingers at anyone because they passed through three airports on their trip to the Philippines. When Merano returned home, he said that his son’s girlfriend’s luggage had been unzipped and her personal stuff had been removed.

Reading glasses, perfume, and chocolates were among the items intended for their family. Merano stated that, aside from his son’s girlfriend, his family members lost more stuff in their luggage, mainly branded items such as bags and shoes.

Merano remarked that several goods from one bag were also relocated to another. Vanjo revealed that he and his family waited for almost an hour and a half at the NAIA before their bags came out of the conveyor system.

Vanjo stated that as a result of the occurrence, they purchased gifts for their loved ones in return for the stolen stuff. He also warned passengers in his vlog to exercise caution when flying abroad.

  1. I AGREE WITH YOU, WE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT PAL AIRLINES.
ESP IN MANILA, STAFF ARE POLITELY SAYING “PO, OPO” TO EVERY FILIPINO PASSENGERS, BUT IN REALITY THEY DON’T HAVE THE SUPPOSEDLY WORK ETHICS, ESP IF THEY KNOW YOU ARE A NON-REV PASSENGERS, IT’S LIKE THEY MAKE YOU FEEL YOU ARE BEGGING FOR YOUR ” BENEFITS TICKETS”
THAT’S WHY PHILIPPINES IS BRANDED AS THE WORST AIRPORT BECAUSE OF THIS RACKETING, STEALING AND LAGAY SYSTEMS.
