Jes Durante, and 8 other soldiers are accused of the killing of Yvonette Plaza
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) General Jes Durante was tagged as the “mastermind” behind the killing of model-businesswoman Yvonette Chua Plaza.
According to the police investigation, Brigadier General Jesus Durante III is the mastermind behind the murder of businessman and model Yvonette Plaza in December 2022. Six soldiers are claimed to be the general’s collaborators in the crime.
The names of the suspects in the dead model’s case have finally been published by the group investigating the case. The Special Investigation Task Group tagged former Presidential Security Group commander Durante as the prime suspect in the death during a press briefing.
Based on the report, the group claims to have discovered a link between Durante and Plaza, and that the general was reportedly mistreating the model. Plaza’s injured face was shown in a post some months after her death, and she claimed that a particular ‘Durante’ did it to her.
They’re seeking to look if the motive of the suspect against Plaza was because of ‘jealousy’. Aside from Durante, numerous people were implicated for their alleged role in the model’s death.
SSg Gilbert Plaza, CPL Adrian Cashero, PFC Delfin Sialsa, CPL Longakit, CPL Cabal, and Noel Hapitan are the members. Durante, as previously said, denied any involvement in what happened to Chua, whom he considered a friend. Durante has yet to comment on the anticipated allegations against him.
