Honest Cop Praised After Returning P15k Accidentally Sent to His GCash Account
An honest cop earns praise after he returned the P15,000 money accidentally sent to his account in e-wallet app GCash.
Honest people typically refuse to lie, cheat, steal, or make mistakes that would jeopardize another person’s trust. However, due to selfishness and an increase in wickedness, we rarely see people performing acts of honesty nowadays.
Many people are thinking about themselves and ignoring the important things in life. However, there are still some people who can demonstrate that honesty still exists and that faith in humanity can be restored.
A woman from Quezon City inadvertently transferred P15,000 to the GCash account of a Batanes police officer. Police Staff Sergeant Anselmo H. Gari Jr. of the Sabtang Police Station did not hesitate to return the P15,000 GCash that was sent to him inadvertently on January 5.
He initially mistook it for a New Year’s gift, but later received a text message demanding the money back. PSSgt called right away because he knew the money was hard-earned.
Based on the report, Gari confirmed the true owner and immediately returned the money. “Rose” was relieved to have her money returned.
