Darryl Yap Reacts to Those Claiming “My Teacher” Film is Flop
Controversial director Darryl Yap expresses reactions to those who are claiming the film My Teacher of Toni Gonzaga and Joey De Leon is a flop.
Recently, the director turned to his social media account to take a swipe toward bashers claiming that the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 (MMFF 2022) submission film “My Teacher” is “flopsina”. Toni Gonzaga, Joey De Leon, and “LoiNie” or Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte appeared in the film.
Toni’s husband, Paul Soriano, is directing the MMFF 2022 entry film. Yap lambasted individuals who keep criticizing the film and claimed it was a complete failure.
“Kung makapagsabi naman na ‘flop’ ang MY TEACHER, parang di naman sila kumain ng ininit na tae nung pinanood nila yung…kung anuman ang title nung yuckie na double flop, kayo-kayong mga langaw lang ‘yan. Ge, maglokohan tayo,” he said in his post.
He even slammed individuals who attacked his film “Maid in Malacanang,” which did not win any prizes. The controversial director slammed the tour of Filipino haters, referring to them as losers.
“Ngayong di nanalo ng award yung pelikulang ang mga gumawa ay sobrang makabash at makasira sa #MiM—sigaw nang sigaw ng TANGKILIKIN PO NATIN ANG PELIKULANG PILIPINO!!!” he said.
“So ano yung #MAIDinMALACAÑANG? Foreign Film? Gawa ng Alien?” EDI KAYO NA LANG ANG PILIPINO. HAHAHAHA Mga trip nyo, pang loser talaga,” he added.
Although no names were mentioned, netizens assume he was listening to Director Joel Lamangan. Direk Joel is the director of the film “My Father, Myself” and one of Yap’s cinema critics.
