Talent manager and showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz reacted to the viral “harana” of actor Marco Alcaraz at a beauty pageant.
In his most recent showbiz update on his YouTube channel, Ogie Diaz advised Marco Alcaraz, who was recently chastised for his song number in a pageant. After a video of him, singing went viral, the veteran actor was recently chastised on social media.
Marco serenading the pageant’s contenders drew a lot of attention, especially because it was a live film that was not edited. Netizens chastised the actor’s off-key singing.
Meanwhile, Ogie advises artists to be cautious while accepting rackets. Particularly when they have ‘proof’ and invoices for everything they do as a result of social media.
“Siyempre may mga ebidensya. May mga resibo na yan. Kung napakahusay naman ng tinig ni Marco Alcaraz, malamang yan maba-viral yan. Maba-viral lalo kapag palpak ang boses, sintunado,” Ogie said.
“Magandang lesson ito para sa mga actors natin na tumatanggap ng raket. Make sure lang na ‘pag kakanta kayo ng solo, ‘wag na kayong manghaharana. Lalo na ‘yung mga babae. Gusto nila naririnig magagandang tinig. Mas gusto nila singer talaga hindi yung actor na acting ang kayang gawin. May resibo nga… Next time ba kukunin ulit siya matapos mapanood yan,” explained Ogie in his vlog.
Although others argue that Marco is simply inebriated, it is evident from the video that he is not drinking, especially because he is not drunk. “Sana na nga lang lasing si Marco ‘nun. Para may chance pa na ahh siguro ‘pag hindi siya lasing, mas maganda ang tinig niya.”
