Kakampink couple tied the knot
A Kakampink couple, Ariean Cristobal and Emanuelle Cruz De Guzman, who went viral during the campaign season finally got married.
Their placard caught the attention of many netizens. During this year’s elections, supporters did a lot of gimmicks during rallies. Those who supported different politicians have become creative when it comes to making posters and placards for campaign events.
One of the couples who supported the candidacy of former Vice President Leni Robredo and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan created a placard with these words, “Ikakasal kami na si Leni ang Presidente.“
This went viral online. The Kakampink couple received support from their fellow Kakampinks. Fashion designer Gladi Echavarre even shared a post about this couple and promised that she will make the bride’s wedding gown for free. Echavarre designed one of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach’s gowns during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night.
Several Kakampinks who also wanted to contribute to the wedding commented on the designer’s post. There were also those who wanted to send gifts after the wedding.
However, those who are from the other camp slammed the couple, especially after the election as Leni Robredo did not win. Despite the fact that their presidential candidate did not win, the Kakampink couple continued their plan to settle down with each other.
Singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao shared a photo taken during the wedding of the couple. “Pangakong tinupad ang tumugtog sa kasal nila Ariean at Emanuelle. Congrats sainyo!” he wrote in the caption of his post.
Fellow Kakampinks of the newlywed couple showed support for them for the new chapter in their lives together. “Best wishes… pag ibig at pag ibig padin… ignore the bashers wala silang sense ng love…” a Twitter user commented.
