Cardinal Luis Tagle Removed as President of Caritas Internationalis

Pope Francis decided to remove numerous leaders from CI, including its president, the former archbishop of Manila, according to Vatican City. This is done to alter the confederation’s current regulatory structure.

The Holy See Press Office told the public in a bulletin that an Italian management expert named Pier Francesco Pinelli will serve as CI’s interim administrator. Pinelli will receive guidance from Tagle as she gets ready for the general assembly that will elect the new organization’s leaders.

According to another Vatican statement, they saw that several employees at the Caritas headquarters, which is also housed in the Holy See, had negative experiences. According to a report, favoritism, poor treatment, and poor management led to the removal of several Caritas employees.

They claimed to have uncovered no proof of immoral behavior or financial mismanagement at the corporate headquarters. Netizens were astounded by what occurred to Cardinal Tagle, who is one of those considered to be the next Pope.

Nevertheless, Tagle will continue to support Pinelli as he gets ready for the general assembly. The fact that Tagle became the first president from Asia and the president of Caritas in 2015 will be recalled.

The tenure would have expired in 2023 had he not been re-elected in 2019. Regarding Pope Francis’ choice, Tagle has not yet released a statement.
