When will the John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo reunion project happen?
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz said that several scripts were presented to him for his reunion project with A-list actress Bea Alonzo but there is something to consider first before this will materialize.
John Lloyd and Bea’s tandem is one of the most popular pairings in the Philippine entertainment industry. As Popoy and Basha, their characters in One More Chance and A Second Chance movies, they brought “kilig” and heartaches to many fans.
Supporters of their onscreen partnership have been waiting for their reunion project. During a recent interview for his endorsement, based on the article in The Philippine Star, John Lloyd Cruz said that he is just waiting for Bea Alonzo.
Talks about his have started already a long time ago and he said to his longtime leading lady, “Ang tagal na po akong naka-standby, Miss Bea. Waiting lang po, any time po on your cue.”
The actor also shared that he has already read several scripts and a couple of concepts were presented to them as well. However, this will not push through if they will not take the next step.
”But at the end of the day kung hindi tayo uupo at mag-uusap kung kailan ‘yan gagawin, paano ba ‘yan gagawin, gagawin ba natin, that’s the most important question,” the blockbuster actor said.
He added that if these questions will not be answered, it is like making their fans hope for something that is not going to happen. With this, the actor said, “So ang masasabi ko lang, hanggang magkaroon ng konkretong plano, mayroon na ma-pencil mark na schedule. Ayoko munang umasa.”
Both John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo are now doing projects in the Kapuso network. The actor has a sitcom Happy ToGetHer and the actress is the lead actress in the series Start-Up PH.
