Manila Mayor Says Solo Parents and PWDs will Receive P3K in the First Week of December
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna announced that solo parents and persons with disabilities (PWDs) will receive P3k in the first week of December.
According to Lacuna, the local government will give each of them a monthly allowance of P3,000 starting in the upcoming month. The first week of December, according to Lacuna, is the target date for the disbursement of the financial support.
Additionally, Lacuna gave PWDs and single parents assurances that he would continue to oversee the provision of the benefit. The mayor recalled how a PWD waited outside the lavatory when he went to a mall’s Christmas tree lighting to inquire about the timing of the disbursement of their allowance.
“We are really doing that bi-annually because it is only P500 so that when the sixth month comes, our single parents and PWDs will receive a lot. Look forward to it. In the first week of December you will receive it. Don’t think that it won’t go on. It will continue,” Lacuna assured.
In connection with this, the lady mayor also stated that the city would continue to offer senior persons and college students monthly financial help. Financial assistance is a component of the city government’s social improvement agenda, based on the report.
There are 15,000 seniors, 21,800 people with disabilities, 5,000 single parents, 17,000 university students, and 5,000 kids in Grade 12. The city provides a monthly allowance of 1,000 for college students and 500 for senior high school students, single parents, elderly people, and those with disabilities.
