Pia Wurtzbach is a Filipino-German model, actress, and beauty queen. She is one of the 4 Pinay to earn the Miss Universe title.
Recently, the 33-year-old celebrity was named by a financial entity, NetCredit, as one of the highest IG earners for the year 2021. Pia is also the only Pinoy who was included in the list of celebrities all over the world. She earned approximately P216 million.
Pia Wurtzbach is one of 170 Pinoys who joined the New York City Marathon on November 6, 2022. She began her training in February.
The beauty queen posted on Instagram that she has long wished to participate in the marathon. She uploaded a photo with her runner’s bib.
“For years, I was looking for something that would get me excited as much as Miss Universe did. I kept looking and trying new things but couldn’t find that feeling again… until now.”

Pia Wurtzbach also documented the things she saw during the NYC marathon, including her kababayans who cheered on her. Throughout the race, her soon-to-be husband Jeremy Jauncey was in her corner.
Scottish businessman took video0 and cheered for Pia. He even ran alongside her for the last few miles.
After the run, Pia proudly posted on her IG page her latest achievement. In the photo she uploaded, the actress is shown holding a medal that she won during the marathon.
“The NYC Marathon wasn’t a race, it was an experience. A life lesson. Probably the best run of my life. I saw and felt so much. I AM SO HAPPY 🥹 and grateful, inspired, humbled, and emotional…lahat na!”
Pia Wurtzbach ecstatically declared that she and her team had successfully completed the marathon, emphasizing that it wasn’t a competition but rather an experience. The medal she received, she continued, is a symbol of how important it is for people to keep the promises they have made to themselves.
“This medal represents how important it is that we keep the promises we make to ourselves. To me, it was running because I wanted a new challenge, a new discipline — to be healthier & to step out of my comfort zone, to see how far I can go,” she wrote.
