Nadine Lustre talked about her boyfriend
Actress Nadine Lustre shared that her boyfriend Christopher Bariou is very supportive of her mental health.
Nadine revealed her relationship with Chris early this year. She has been spending more time in Siargao where Chris is based for a decade now. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Nadine shared the story of how she started her life in the surfing capital of the Philippines.
The actress shared that in one of her sessions with her life coach, she was asked to answer questions. “It was more for manifesting naman and she asked me to write on a piece of paper and the first question was where do you see yourself in two years,” Nadine Lustre shared.
She said that her answer was somewhere near the ocean and the mountains. Two months after that session, she found herself enjoying the beauty of Siargao. She told to herself, “this is it.” Nadine easily felt at peace while she was there. It was her first travel after the lockdown and she felt good with the intention to keep coming back to the Siargao.
While being in the surfing capital of the country, Nadine said that she feels free. Although she has nothing against Manila, the actress said that she can breathe more in Siargao.
“I feel like I’m in a box and everyone is rushing towards something but I don’t know where they’re rushing to and what it is that they want to achieve. Everyone is cloying their way up and tapos nagpapaunahan? That’s what I feel whenever I’m here,” she shared.
On the island, Nadine did not just fall in love with the place, she also found love with Chris. She shared that her boyfriend is very supportive, especially when it comes to her mental health.
“Super (supportive). I cry like I don’t care. I cry in front of Chris all the time when I’m super stressed out and he’s always giving me words of encouragement,” Nadine said. She added that Chris is also supportive of her other endeavors like environment and animal welfare.
When asked to share her love advice, Nadine Lustre said that you must not chase love and that it will just come. “Don’t look for it. ‘Wag mo habulin. Kasi the more you chase it, the more it’s not gonna come to you,” the actress said.
