“I don’t want to just be an actor all my life,” the veteran actress said in a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH. This is the reason why she decided to establish Nathan Studios and this name came from the street where they are currently living.

“My children suggested it because they said it was in that house where we became so blessed with our respective careers,” Sylvia Sanchez said.

She said that after spending many years in the entertainment industry, she knows for a fact that there are a lot of talented Pinoy artists and they deserve to be showcased in projects. “We only need to create projects that will enable them to showcase their talents,” the actress said, adding that she wanted to help in this aspect.

Now that the content being created by Pinoys is shown globally, Sylvia said that she wants Philippine-made projects to be presented in other countries. She believes that Pinoys are as talented as other Asians.

With this idea, the veteran actress decided to put up her own production company with the help of her children actor Arjo Atayde and actress Ria Atayde. “When I was able to save enough, Arjo, Ria, and I decided to put up the company,” Sylvia Sanchez said.

Among the projects that Nathan Studios co-produced were Sylvia’s drama series Misis Piggy, the film X factor that Ria is currently working on, and Arjo’s action movie Topakk with Julia Montes. Sylvia Sanchez’s production company also co-produced Arjo’s psychological thriller series Cattleya Killer.
