Cedric Lee testified in Vhong Navarro Case
Vhong Navarro Case – It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro filed a petition to post bail for the rape case filed against him by model Deniece Cornejo and businessman Cedric Lee testified against him.
This complicated legal battle between Vhong and Deniece started in 2014 after the two instances they met. In 2018, Cedric and Deniece were found guilty of grave coercion. The hearing for the illegal detention case filed by Vhong against them is still ongoing.
On October 13, 2022, gave his statement against Vhong during the hearing at Branch 69 of Regional Trial Court ng Taguig City. Cedric Lee refused to be interviewed by the media, based on the article in PEP.
Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque, the collaborating counsel in Vhong Navarro Case said, “Cedric Lee was presented today for the first hearing for petition for bail. His testimony was terminated also today. Meaning direct, cross, redirect, and recross were conducted.”
The lawyer also said that the camp of Deniece is set to present four more witnesses against Vhong and they will be presented on different dates. If the camp of the model will fail to present strong evidence against the Kapamilya star, the latter can post bail in order for him to be released.
“If we will able to prove that after the presentation of the evidence of the prosecution, then the accused has a matter of right to post bail,” Atty. Garduque said.
Amid this legal battle, Vhong Navarro receives full support from his wife Tanya Bautista. Many of his friends in showbiz are also rallying his back and praying for him. However, it was said that a friend of Vhong ignored him when he asked for help.
