Call Center Agent Posing As Foreigner to Ask Lewd Photos Arrested
Police authorities arrested a call center agent for allegedly posing as a foreign national to ask for lewd photos from his victims.
According to a report from Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the suspect was detained during a joint entrapment operation by the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit 6 and Bacolod City Police Station 8. (RACU 6). He was taken into custody in Bacolod City’s Goldenfield Commercial Complex.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly poses as a foreigner and requests explicit chatmate images in exchange for cash. Maria, a 19-year-old, reported the suspect to the station, according to Police Major Joery Puerto, chief of Police Station 8.
She claimed the alias Max Cowell suspect was pressuring her to meet with him. If she didn’t, he would humiliate the victim by publishing the photographs indicated above.
Dennis James Traza, a 27-year-old call center agent for technical support, was named as the suspect. It was determined that Traza lived in the Golden Ville Subdivision, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, and had a child.
The suspect’s Vivo 155 android cell phone, which included the victim’s naked images and videos, was found, according to the police station chief. The suspect will be charged with violating R.A. 9995, the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, the chief continued.
