Ruru Madrid shared the first time he met Bianca Umali
Kapuso couple Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali shared how their love story started in this recent vlog that actress Bea Alonzo shared.
Bea featured Ruru and Bianca in her lie detector challenge. For the second part of this vlog, the couple was asked at the same time. While the set-up was happening, Bea had a fun conversation with the couple.
Bianca shared that this is the first time that she and Ruru were interviewed together. The couple also shared that they haven’t worked yet on one project as onscreen partners. With this, Bea asked, “paano kayo nagka-jowaan?”
Ruru Madrid shared that he was in Grade 5 when he first saw Bianca Umali. It was during the time when the Tropang Potchi, in which Bianca was one of the cast members, visited their school.
“Sabi ko, ‘sobrang ganda naman nito,’ sobrang naging crush ko siya,” Ruru said about Bianca. That pushed the actor to aspire to be in showbiz. They worked in one show but they haven’t seen each other on the set.
“Teleserye siya ni Barbie (Forteza), pinasok lang ako na panggulo lang,” the actor recalled. During that time, Ruru said that for some reason, he wanted to protect Bianca. However, he said that at that time, he saw Bianca as a younger sister.
Their “conversation” started in the Kapuso defunct show Sunday PinaSaya. During a GMA party, Bianca and Ruru connected. It was the actress’s first time mingling with people at a party and she found it fun. She invited Ruru to spend time with her because she knows the actor has a “party boy” image and Bea agreed with this.
“Nagpakipot, nag-basketball ako,” Ruru said. Then, the actor shared that it was actor JM Rodriguez who played the cupid role for him and Bianca. They were at a party, Bianca and Ruru were so close to each other while they were talking. JM told them, “pinapatagal niyo pa.”
They kissed and that was the first time Ruru Madrid felt the spark. “‘Yon n ‘yon,” Bianca Umali said.
