Lolit Solis is overwhelmed by the help she receives from Bong Revilla
Senator Bong Revilla gave his credit card to veteran showbiz writer Lolit Solis as she is now undergoing medical treatment.
Lolit has been very close to Sen. Bong for many years now. She is one of the showbiz personalities who defends the actor-politician against negative comments, just like what she did when actress Janine Gutierrez stated something against the Senator.
Manay Lolit once said that she is wiling to die to protect the husband of actress-politician Lani Mercado. When the veteran showbiz writer was hospitalized, she shared that it was the lawmaker who paid for her bills.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Lolit Solis revealed that Sen. Bong Revilla gave her his credit card. “Ang naloka ako, kay Bong Revilla. Talagang dumaan dito, ibinigay niya yung kanyang credit card—kahit anong gastusin ko raw, i-charge dun sa card,” the showbiz writer said after saying that she has been in the hospital for two months now but she has not spent any amount from her personal money.
She said that she feels ashamed already because it seemed like her disease was a form of fundraising and then she laughed. “Parang fundraising ceremony, di ba? Nahihiya talaga ako,” the writer said.
Aside from Sen. Bong Revilla who is known for being close to her, Manay Lolit shared that even those who have no direct connections to her would express their sympathy for her.
The showbiz writer shared that she would just be surprised at times that there were those who will contact her out of the blue and will offer their helping hands for her. With this, she said, “I’m so thankful talaga. Yun lang talaga.”
Lolit also said that she is wondering why there were showbiz personalities who had a difficult time when they needed help because in her case, people who want to help her keep on pouring in.
“Sabi ko, ‘Bakit nagkaganun? Samantalang ito, hindi ka naman nanghihingi, nagkukusa naman sila?’ Siguro, sabi ko ngang ganun, iyang karma rin, di ba? Sabi nga ni Douglas, ‘Whatever you do, bumabalik iyan, bumabalik sa iyo,’ di ba?” she said quoting the late talent manager Douglas Quijano.
