Alodia Gosiengfiao talked about her fiance Christopher Quimbo
Cosplayer-gamer Alodia Gosiengfiao shared the story of how she met “the one” for her, Christopher Quimbo, the owner of Novellino, the leading wine in the Philippines.
Alodia started revealing her new-found love last April. That was the first time she and Christopher were spotted together in the online community. It is known to many that Alodia’s breakup prior to meeting Chris was quite controversial.
However, her fans are indeed happy to see her glow now with “the one” in her life. Alodia shared in a recent interview by Philstar Life that she and Chris met when she wasn’t looking for love.
Her cousin introduced her to Chris during a Kai Xiao. It is a Chinese tradition where families arrange for two people to meet. The cousin of Alodia Gosiengfiao said that the wine company owner is interested in her.
“My first impression, sabi ko, ‘Ah, he doesn’t speak Tagalog,’ but no, he can understand naman. He’s smart and super humble, which is quite nice since we connect on a different level,” the cosplayer said.
She also shared that she and Chris are on the same wavelength and that they are both geeks. A month after they met, Chris already asked Alodia to be his girlfriend and the proposal happened last July.
The cosplayer said that her fiance proposed to her at a garden in Cavite where they had their first date. She was told that it was just a gathering of their families because it was the day before Chris’s birthday.
“I didn’t expect that it would be that day, so it was kind of surreal when it actually happened. I was lutang, like ‘huh?’ I was kind of overwhelmed,” Alodia shared. She also said that she and Chris would always laugh and they enjoy each other’s company even though there are no big events.
“We plan a lot about the future, so it’s nice. We’re both futurists,” the cosplayer said. She also said that she just knew that Chris was already the one for her. Alodia Gosiengfiao said that she did not understand the “When you know, you know.” However, when it comes to Christopher Quimbo, she said everything feels right.
